For beginning to intermediate actors

Sunday, October 27th - 12:30-2:00pm

The Writers and Actors Group

520 8th Ave., New York, NY 10018

|   what's it all about?  |

Aimed at preparing young actors for film and theater acting, we'll practice classic techniques, study characters through scene work, be in the moment with improv, and learn the business end of the business. We'll also have mock auditions to practice, learn how to prepare, experience engaging with people in the room, and gain more confidence.

|   who teaches it?  |

Caroline Gordon-Elliott has been teaching acting to kids and adults for over fifteen years. She trained at the Williamstown Theater Festival, Vassar College, Interlochen Arts Center, LA Connection Improv, Choate Summer Theater, and a two-year course in Meisner Technique. She wrote, directed, and performed in various theatrical productions, and worked in front of, and behind the camera on multiple TV and film sets, including writing and directing her short film. She also wrote and performed in the successful sketch comedy group, The Monkey Box. She taught acting to 13-18 year-olds at the Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California. After ten years in LA, she returned to her home town of NYC, and founded the Writers and Actors Group in 2013, where she teaches acting and screenwriting, and offers private coaching.
